Solidarity holidays

These solidarity holidays focus on making a contribution to community projects working alongside local people and hikes in exceptional locations in the central part of the High Atlas. They are designed for those who want to combine a humanitarian action with hiking and discovering Berber culture.  

Solidarity workcamp at Tiziane, at the foot of Mount Toubkal in the region of Marrakesh - 8th-15th July 2012
This holiday focuses on assisting a village association to build a communal wash-house in a copse of walnut trees to improve the living conditions of Berber women.
You will take part in the workcamp for three mornings working with the local population. The afternoons will be spent on short hikes to discover the surroundings with the guide, Aziz. You will also be able to spend a whole day discovering the Toubkal massif. At the end of your stay, you will visit Marrakesh.

Solidarity workcamp at Zawyat Ahançal, in the M’Goun massif (region of Beni-Mellal) - Sunday 9th – Sunday 23rd September 2012
You will assist the Rhadja Association to build a weaving workshop and sales boutique which will help generate income for women in the village.
You will work six mornings with the local population and spend your afternoons on short hikes accompanied by a mountain guide.
You will also set off on a longer three-day hike on the high plateaus of the M’Goun massif. At the end of your stay, you will visit Marrakesh.
